Morning Prayer

Praying this is the last time I ever get lost again. My sponsor continues to remind me that the ultimate goal of the 12 steps is to teach me to live in this moment. I live with an alcoholic anx well so the opportunity 68 throw it all away is present daily; it is progress not perfection. Could use everyones help: encouraging big book passages and prayers to pass on to my friend, would be most welcome.

This is a great way to ease into it. I stumbled on this app a couple of months ago. Love to you all as you walk in the Sunlight of the Spirit. We are careful never to pray for our own selfish ends.

I hope I can do this…. I get down on myself once in awhile for not being more disciplined but the book says it takes practice? God direct my thinking today so that it be divorced of self pity, dishonesty, I took this wisdom with xnd to ponder as I walked along the beach. Yes indeed TommyH.

But my morning meditation and prayer are constantly interrupted by my busy head and self will. Thank you, writing this really helped me to do the 11th step and I am happy that other recovering people are finding it useful. Or were we thinking of what we could do for others, of what we could pack into the stream of life. I don't go to as many meetings as in the beginning, but my foundation with AA is strong and I find lots of things that I need to do that Gig used to put off!

12 Step Recovery from ANY and ALL Addictions

11th Step Meditation (morning)

Alcoholics Anonymous. Lest we forget! God, I'm standing at the turning point right now. Give me your protection and care as I abandon myself to you and give up my old ways and my old ideas just for today. AMEN p. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. May I do Thy will always!

Updated

This time I have also quit smoking for over a month. I love this connection with other people in recovery. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on. Pabe am sharing because I am afraid of isolating myself.

Only have 6 months sober myself. This morning prayer is awesome way to turn my will over. Yes indeed TommyH, I took this wisdom with me to ponder as I walked along the beach. Leslee, so nice to hear from you again and your success with putting the AA program into your life.
